Travel & Health Insurance Travel & Health Insurance is mandatory. Greek Roots will not accept any responsibility for individuals traveling without the proper Travel and Health Insurance. WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND TRAVELERS PURCHASE TRAVEL & HEALTH INSURANCE TO RECEIVE THE NECESSARY PROTECTION. Proof of Travel & Health insurance purchase will be requested 30 days prior to the start of the Travel Program. Travel Documents A valid passport is required to travel to Greece (valid for 6 months after the return date). Greek Roots accepts no liability for the customs delay. For travelers choosing option B: (Travel Program with airfare from Montreal or Toronto, Canada), a copy of your passport is required 45 days before departure for booking your air ticket. Travel Program Changes Greek Roots reserves the right to cancel/change the Travel Program based on customs delays, weather, traffic, schedule changes of ferries, tour sites, or any other event that we assess could disrupt the Travel Program as a whole. If the remaining balance is not paid before the respective deadlines, Greek Roots reserves the right to cancel the reservation and retain the non-refundable portion of previous amounts paid. Modifications to Air Ticket or Travel Program Reservation For travelers on Option B (Travel Program with airfare from Montreal or Toronto, Canada), any changes regarding a confirmed plane reservation, such as the name of the traveler, can be made up to 30 days prior to departure. A written request to Greek Roots is necessary to initiate the change. Traveler agrees to pay any fees (from the airline) for such changes. Changes to the Travel Program Reservation (non-air travel portion) can be made up to 10 days prior to departure. Errors or Omissions Greek Roots makes a reasonable effort to ensure that the content on our web site is complete and current. However, Greek Roots does not guarantee that the content on our web site will not contain errors, inaccuracies or omissions. Such errors, inaccuracies or omissions may relate to price or to product or service description or availability. Greek Roots reserves the right to correct any error, inaccuracy or omission or to change or update the content of our website at any time and without any prior notice. Further, Greek Roots reserves the right to refuse or cancel any orders or reservations containing any error, inaccuracy or omission, whether or not the order or reservation has been submitted, confirmed and/or payment has been received. If payment has been received and your reservation is cancelled due to an error, inaccuracy or omission, Greek Roots will promptly refund you for the entire amount paid. Delay, absence or withdrawal If the traveler does not show up at the agreed place and time of departure, the rights in the Travel Program are not guaranteed. In the event the traveler arrives late, is absent and misses a departure or withdraws from the Travel Program, for any reason, the fees paid to Greek Roots are not refundable, nor changeable, nor transferable. The traveler can however, choose to join the tour after it has started, provided the traveler pays for any transportation costs required to meet up with the group. If the traveler fails to comply with the indications of the guides to gather at the meeting point in time during the trip, the traveler will be responsible for any additional costs they may have to bear to catch up to the group. Greek Roots is not responsible for the consequences caused by travelers if they withdraw from the Group Travel Program during the trip. Force Majeure Greek Roots does not accept any responsibility or liability for any loss resulting from force majeure. Force majeure includes but is not limited to the following: a. Natural disasters such as typhoons, hail, storms, earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, volcanic eruptions, landslides; b. Government actions such as expropriation, requisition; c. Abnormal social events, such as wars, armed conflicts, strikes, riots and terrorist attacks. d. Any other unpredictable, irresistible, uncontrollable or unexpected event and/or circumstances that prevents the program from proceeding as planned.
